The Sydney-based discount broker became the first in Australia to offer free ASX trades as a promotion until January 3, with brokerage at $3 per trade since then helping it acquire 54,000 accounts trading the ASX or Chi-X.
Two of the five most traded ASX stocks on the Stake app are lithium and electric battery hopefuls Vulcan Resources and Novonix. The retail investor darlings boast a combined market cap of $6.1 billion on revenue of $1.6 million between them in the September quarter.
