I think you may be confusing inflow/outflow with buying/selling. The inflow from the chart indicates "bid" that gets taken up - money that's trying to jump in, and outflow as "offer" that gets taken up - money that's eager to get out. This way it allows us to do analysis. So to see total trade numbers, add inflow and outflow.
