I have not been posting on Hotcopper for quite a while, and no specific reason why I'm
posting specifically on NVX. Purely technical perspective here.
NVX has recently formed a H&S. This pattern when forming after a decline is typically a
continuing pattern that would indicate further downside. However, when the price fails to
break the neckline to the downside and instead breaks above the right-shoulder, it
is a bullish bottoming pattern. That has been the case today. The break was accompanied
by above-average volume.
The is no guarantee that this or any other trade works out, but it is a game of risk/reward.
In this case, based on the measured target of 1.345 and a stop below the breakout bar,
risk/reward is 3:1 and I am long today near the close. You do not have to have an amazing
win rate to be profitable if you stick to (technically) valid trades with such ratios...
