it happens... at this point of the cycle - people are just scared to hold growth stocks.
I remember just before the GFC in 2007-2008, Macquarie (it was known as MBL.ASX back then) was trading at close to $100/share.
At the GFC, it was down to $15-ish as noone has the balls to hold any investment bank shares.
The reality is - of cos - it has survived the GFC and it did a V shape recovery in as little as 12-18 months!
Then it has gone even stronger and stronger in the 2020s.
