It’s a bit frustrating, I just watched LG Chem announce a 3.2billion$ new Cathode factory to be built in Tennessee today. That’s the largest foreign direct investment in the states history. Every week it seems there are large US factory announcements to supply the OEMs of local battery materials.
I re-watched Chris interview from a couple weeks ago, at at 2.30min, he mentions the 150mil is for the greenfield build which is “For the EV market” He also mentioned additional funding, They have applied for a DOE ATVM loan & then will there be Offtake investment also? Fair bit to bring together, it’s a billion dollar build with multi year offtakes to sign. We’ll hear about Riveside ramp up for Kore & cathode piloting etc, but all waiting on Tier One partner/s for the new build.
