No wonder I can't upvote it lol.
I guess for one the hassle of dealing with exchange rate (directly) is eliminated since everything will be denominated in US dollars. Secondly, it does provide an extra layer of comfort to them as the company must file quarterly results and are subject to US accounting rules (which they'd be familiar with). Just my thoughts...
