I went back to Novonix’s ASX announcement with Samsung SDI from December 2019.
They actually did release an announcement on that supply agreement and the tonnes per annum.
We may yet get an ASX announcement on or around Battery Day confirming Novonix’s successful conversion of the Sanyo/Panasonic current MOU into a supply agreement!
Novonix confirms the supply agreement is with Samsung SDI for 500tonnes of Puregraphite anode for BMWi series and FCA. As well as 30 other EVs that are confidential at the time.
So if they follow the same process, a supply agreement with Sanyo/Panasonic for Tesla with lets assume 33,000tonnes per annum of Puregraphite anode...then thing really start to get interesting!
