The fact that high purity nickle is no longer needed using the DPMG process demonstrates how changes in technology can dramatically shift the cost and supply material requirements of batteries.
Even more cost savings by not having to purchase the higher quality nickle material. What happens if they do the same for the lithium component? Can you imagine the carnage in the lithium supply chain if non-battery grade lithium could be used as well.
