COPPER PRODUCTION February 2006

The Board of New World Alloys Limited (ASX: “NWA”) is pleased to advise that the
copper production at it’s Nova plant in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for
February 2006, was 306 tonnes for the standard 30 day operating period. This follows the
record production month in January of 320 tonnes which maintains the Company’s
program to meet it’s target of 900 tonnes for the March quarter.

These results are particularly pleasing considering they have been achieved during
DRC’s wet season which has historically, created difficulties in achieving operational
outputs.
