Yes given the scale - pretty much every country in the world and the cream of the world's sports stars- the potential to introduce NFTs to a whole new audience is massive.
Like most things commercial, the level of success will be much much dictated by how well it is promoted/managed. Given that many potential buyers will be dabbling with NFTs for the first time, lets hope the process is made as simple as possible.
I expect the Olympic Games web site/social media outlets etc would promote the Pins and provide a link to the NWay to arrange the purchases?
