re: nwe - any comments?/matt Having announced the North Sea deal they want to tie down a second project. The US could be that project. The new CEO is already familiar with the Gulf of Mexico and onshore fields. The GOM geology is very similar to the North Sea which is why both areas are attractive. He has been in the US but is not saying aything at this stage until a deal is actually done.
When a second deal is bedded down he will be doing the broker rounds. Hopefully this will be reasonably soon as he has been working hard on a number of possibilities. I am guessing we might see something in the next month.
If its as smart as the North Sea deal then we should see some more value added to the share price.
Current estimated underlying value is now about 15.5c, up from 6c underlying value prior to the North Sea deal.
It may take the broker rounds before the market recognises the value in the share.
