It was so far back in the mists of time(seemingly) that NWE was never written about on Hotcopper & you had to go to another site, which rhymes with "scream". King Baz posts were as detailed as T4p,Ya ,Anatole's and he had some sort of background in the oil industry at managerial or company level & there were frequent clashes between "rougnecks" actually on rigs or
rednecks & the King. He travelled the world like the International Man of Mystery he was. He never posted on HC so it's no good looking there.
They are still "over there" to be read.

It was like reading Dickens in serial magazine form in the 19 th century. , or going to the "pictures" to see the
weekly Flash Gordon serial. There was always some new aspect to investing in NWE that was sure to be wildly successful just around the corner. As another poster mentioned, the 1.5% (?)Royalty on Puffin was going to bring unimaginable riches in the not too distant future.
There were about 9 wells drilled in Puffin & KB analysed posible production levels, estimated their exact location
& the source of oil origin in various geologic strata.
No doubt there is plenty of oil there but the term
"heart break sands" for Puffin indicates the trouble geos had in solving the puzzle.
Sure , the Chinese have an interest but they remain as silent as the tomb.

After NWE reached 32 cents, another poster began writing
threads of an "urger" or ramping nature, called himself "50 cents" - play on words, being the sp sought & the name of an American pop singer of some sort who wore a baseball cap.

Quite tragic how the story stopped so suddenly- imagine
Jack Bauer suddenly got religion in the middle of "24".
Thereafter the scene there just faded away and Hotcopper stepped in to tell the world about Norwest Energy.

I hope he's somewhere with a daquieri & bimbo in hand-
    Bahamas,Cyprus,Pookhet -like Morgan Freeman(spelling)
who lived happily ever after on the beach after a very rough passage.
