I read an article about this this-morning and clicked a link when checking out teslas stock price on google finance.
It had comments about the research institute working with Microsoft which said the battery turned to goo after a couple of hours at room temp open air environment and conductivity was low but praised the efforts of AI but made a big deal about real world vs computer simulation and said the days of eddison style science is not over.
I cant find the article again ive tried.
Just went through another 20 articles and all omit the above comments - possible the major outlets are cherry picking for click bait as per usual.
Could be another Elon Musk lithium moment from 5 years ago.
In saying that I am certainly watching these types of breakthroughs!
