Billja,
perhaps because I spend too much time researching stocks, I don't know which shale stocks are unknowns. However I am happy to provide a short list of stocks that have potential to increase in value multiple times (some more than others of course).
Also, may I add that it does depend on the level of risk you would like to take. i.e Small cap with low cash versus mid cap with cash generation + capacity for development.
This is no way a definitive list of course!
I am simply going off the top of my head.
So, state by state:
WA - NWE, KEY, EGO, NSE, BRU, OBL, GRK, AWE, TTE
NT - BPT, CTP, AJQ, BKP
QL - AJQ
NSW - BPT, ICN, DLS, SXY,
VIC - BPT, COE, LKO
SA - BPT, DLS, SXY, STX, ACN, AKK,
Hmm. I am sure there are more.
Of those I have the following in order of weighting.
BRU, BPT, NSE, AWE, DLS, NWE, ICN
As you can tell, I prefer stocks with larger market caps, mostly because they have a large % of the tenements and IMHO, the best or sweet spot acreage.
