It's fair enough all this discussion about CGT but I'm not intending to swap my shares so it's no more than noise
For me what is important is that MIN will NEVER get my shares I will sell on market if I have to
Then I will have to pay CGT but because I have held NWE for more than 12 months I only pay on 50% of capital gain and at my then tax rate
I know I risk being un Australian but my view is that if I'm paying taxes that means I'm making $$$
It's the cost of doing business for us ordinary retail shareholders
I know I'll never be a billionaire but all ['m trying to do is to provide for my family and the future
That's why you will like my post and despise CE and his BS
