I Concur!!!
Being Civil / Respecting other Opinions should be a No Brainer. We Don’t know each other’s financial / investing situations / strategies.
How do we know when to hold / fold?
(Take money off the table)
Example: How do you have the nerve to hold DEG when it rises from $0.04 to $1.55 in a matter of months.
Sound Familiar?
A successful Strategy I have come up with over the years, after considerable thought, in regards to the above mentioned situation is as follows:
1. Hold the Stock for a minimum of 12 months this taking advantage of Capital Gains Tax Laws (50% Discount)
2. Only then Sell an amount of shares that recoups your original investment & pays your Tax liabilities.
You can also put funds into your super (Currently $27,500 max. per year) minimising your tax further at a 15% rate.
3. Park your remaining shares and Enjoy the Ride. They now have cost / owe you nothing and have become the equivalent of Private Super / Hopefully Early Retirement / An Income Stream.
I left school at 15. Am Self Taught. I have No Economics Background. They Call it a Smart phone for a Reason. It is Your Best Asset!!! Do Your Own Research!!!
