Meanwhile, our head geo is busting his ass in the field looking as highly prospective new tenements, while the consultants work on our MRE that is on track with the timeframe he proposed.
Didn't he just update us all in an interview on Prospective saying it was on track?
I work in the industry, and although I do not consider this a 'delay', I am all too familiar with schedules, expectation, and reality in this sector... hell, half the people we deal with take a week to reply to an email, so an outsourced service running a few weeks behind on a project of this magnitude and importance... well someone here should call the police
I don't recall AT ever stating an MRE would be "definitely reviewed and released to market by Q3". "Due" or "on track" on the other hand would suggest to me received by the team for review, which is exactly as it seems.
