It may just be someone that has shares that are exercisable at that price.
I'm a local and I know a lot of other locals are interested in what happens with the drilling at Bethanga and I've spoken to a few that are putting their money where their mouth is. Givien the history of mining in the area, I think a lot of people are expecting the core samples to be very positive.
I've read a lot over the years about the history of mining here and have read everything I can about what NXM are doing and why they are doing it. It makes complete sense to me. The geology of the area, the history. The main reason mining stopped back in the early 1900's was because of issues with processing. Technology has come a long way in 100 years. That's the history of the area though, everything sort of stopped back in the early 1900's then nothing until 1987 when they did a little bit of drilling - then nothing until this year.
I don't know how much local money is pushing up the price at the moment, but it's got people talking.
