I would also keep in mind this:
When gold is up, and equities are down = ASX goldies go down
Equities are up after hitting an all time high. Gold sentiment will have an effect, but the flow of money into stocks is undeniably bullish in general.
When gold and equities go up together ASX goldies go wild (like yesterday) so it looks like the drop in gold price (AUD gold price not so badly affected due to drop in USD) is tempered by the flow into stocks.
Just wait for gold to rally then see what happens...
