Completely guessing, of course, but I'd be surprised if the price offered to potential equity investors is less than 8 cents. That might have changed now, but if SP were to hit 10 cents in the next days/week then 8 cents looks ok, considering there was a strong bounce off 8.2cents.

I personally don't think there will be a material detrimental affect on SP if they can raise $10m at a lower price. I believe traders and other investors would see that funding is in place and, as long as they have a reputable cornerstone partner, it means everything can progress as quickly as it possibly can.

If there is momentum in a tech or IP surrounding it, SP tends to reflect this
