Supplies squeezed , Rare Earth prices surge ....is the heading of an article written in the New York Times out yesterday.
Molycorp was up $6.02 or 8.42% to $77.15 overnight ....so it was high likely ALK would pick up this morning on the back of that .
Buyers at $1.95 early today did well , probably having read the NY Times article and seen the Molycorp action.
