New changes in GME's environmental report

Both in September and October, Greenland Minerals and Energy has submitted a version of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the planned mine for extracting uranium and rare earths on Kuannersuit. It shows a public access to which Sermitsiaq.AG has been handed over.

However, there is still no mention of the final version of the EIA report. The Environmental Protection Agency for Raw Materials and the Independent Advisors from Pinngortitaleriffik and the National Center for Environment and Energy, Aarhus University, are currently examining the report to determine whether it meets all requirements.

Subsequently, the raw materials authorities will return to the company as to whether additional changes should be made. Only when the EIA report has been finally approved will it be sent in public consultation.

If you compare the report from September and October, some additional information about hydrology (water movements) and water quality has been added. In total, there are four pages extra in the 200-page report.
