If lithium batteries with tungsten based anodes are in fact -faster charging by multiples -Higher power density -Longer lasting -Safer (probably the most important for many applications)
Then the question, is there enough tungsten supply to cover this use case? comes to mind. I imagine that the tungsten supply can't even come close to covering this need. Which will result in the price of APT increasing substantially and the use of tungsten based anode batteries only being used in particular use cases where the cost of the battery is only a small percentage of the product or the use of a tungsten based anode battery in the product is vital to its performance/function over non tungsten anode batteries and the cost is worth its inclusion.
I could easily see a future with tungsten anode based batteries being the best in class product for rechargeable batteries demanding a premium. I guess we will find out if the tech goes any where and lives up to its potential in the next 5 to 10 years.
