It is really hard to comprehend the frequent vocal objections to the expansion of our coal mines. The NZ Herald today tells us 6 bulk carrier ships every month unload an average of 35,000 tons of coal per ship on the wharf for the coal fired power station in Huntly and to Glenbrook for NZ steel. With the ongoing financial constraints of our government it would appear the BRL domestic business surely should expand along with the potential of our coking coal exports.
