Cheer up, todays trading may have been a fiasco but behind the Ecobulb announcement is a sound business model, and a great product.
Energy Mad were started from scratch in NZ 3 years ago,this year were 2007 Deloitte NZ fastest growing company, bulbs now in half of all NZ homes. In NZ subsidised by govt so retailed at 5 bulbs for $10, cost partially covered by sale of carbon credits.
Reason for subsidy is power savings $15/bulb/year, 10 million bulbs over 10 years enough to offset several coal fired power stations, Kyoto emmissions and all that.
Consumers save real $, and so does govt.

Classic case of the right product at the right time. Quick fix and much larger impact than still experimental hot rocks, wave motion pumps, carbon capture etc.
Only concern is white light LEDs, closing price gap.
