I did a quick look and it seems to confirm what we already suspected - that it is getting too hard to tell the story from port data.

For what it's worth, total exports from Lyttleton to China/HK/Aus look to be down around 38% from Jan 2019. However, this is mainly a reduction in exports to Australia, but exports to Australia appear to have increased substantially quite a bit from Auckland seaport. Someone else might have time / inclination to pull out all the figures further but I'm increasingly of the view that there is not much point.

Interestingly, GB mentioned they'd been flying in some stock, and I can see that exports (gross weight) from Auckland airport to China increased to 162,290 to 281,224 (a 73% increase).
