I dont care if gay people want to get married. I really dont. Its a contract and like you, I like it if people are happy and if a gay couple are happy entering a contract, good stuff.
But, I respect the traditional view. The view I am sure your parents had.
You respected your parents view on marriage didnt you? Enought to get married against your beliefs?
If all my presumptions, from what you have written on this thread, are correct then it is not totally rational, fair and absolutely correct for many on this thread to be against gay marriage as I, presume, your parents were.
Its like some of my mates who love the queen, love the flag, love john howard, love phillip ruddock, alexander downer and what happened to iraq. I love em. Respect them and understand how they formed their views on these subjects. But I dont agree with a word they say, often. But, I have learned a heap from them also.
