I think it should be legalised in Australia so that gays can be as miserable as us heterosexual married couples.

But seriously, I know some lesbian parents and they are great parents with great kids. Being married would make no difference to whether they had kids or not. As to playgrounds, the Asian kids or Italian kids used to get teased but nowadays it is unacceptable and with many different races kids just accept the differences. This will happen with gays as well. When my kids raise the subject, I just say it is normal.
