I'm a NZ shareholder. My understanding is (via my accountant) is that the NZ IRD taxes us 30% on the total dividend. However, we don't pay any capital gains tax in Australia as we are a foreign entity. A the end of the day it probably works out about even comparing Australian shareholders vs NZ shareholders.
