This is what happens when you do a deal with the devil.
Now NZ's turn to feel the wrath and they deserve it after sucking up to them.
Great viewing for the Pacific Islands when china comes to say "we friend, we love you long time".

China threatens to put NZ in the freezer with Australia

Beijing has launched an unprecedented dressing down of New Zealand, accusing Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern of joining an American “disinformation” campaign to “discredit China”.
China’s Foreign Ministry erupted after Prime Minister Ardern said Wellington was concerned about Beijing’s behaviour in the Pacific during a meeting on Tuesday in the White House with President Joe Biden.
In a joint statement after the Oval Office meeting, New Zealand and America said a Chinese military base in the Pacific would “fundamentally alter the strategic balance of the region”, as Wellington said security and defence would become an “ever-more-important” focus of its relationship with Washington.
The joint statement also noted Wellington and Washington’s shared concerns over China’s menacing of Taiwan, human rights abuses in Xinjiang and political repression in Hong Kong.
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian on Wednesday evening said he “would like to take some time to make a detailed response” when asked about Ms Ardern’s trip to Washington.
“We noted the relevant contents of the joint statement, which distorts and smears China’s normal cooperation with Pacific Island countries, deliberately hypes up the South China Sea issue, makes irresponsible remarks on and grossly interferes in China’s internal affairs including issues related to Taiwan, Xinjiang and Hong Kong,” Mr Zhao said.
“The hype-up of relevant issues in the joint statement by the US and New Zealand is out of ulterior motives to create disinformation and attack and discredit China.”
In a diatribe that was long even by Mr Zhao’s standards, the Beijing-based spokesman said that the ongoing trip to the Pacific by China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi had been “widely welcomed” by countries in the region.
Mr Zhao said China’s security agreement with the Solomon Islands “does not target any third party” and said Beijing does not “intend to establish a military base”.
“China urges the US to abandon its Cold War mentality and ideological bias, stop interfering in China’s internal affairs and stop slandering and discrediting China,” the Chinese spokesman said.
“We hope New Zealand will adhere to its independent foreign policy and do more to enhance security and mutual trust among regional countries and safeguard regional peace and stability.”
China has repeatedly praised New Zealand during its more than two year diplomatic and trade coercion campaign against Australia.
