Thanks for your explanation of the geology of the Taranaki Basin, that was helpful. Don't by any chance have any mates working on oil drilling rigs there? Looks like the small oilers that with Shell are trying to make a go of things in New Zealand could be rewarded albeit with small fields, though Tui when/if drilled might prove to be another Maui. Lets hope there are some positive results from Huinga 1b, which is about 5-6 days away from primary target, from PCL's well (so Towie can have a win) and from Opito. I find it curious that there is not much in the NZ press about developments in the area. I check the NZ Herald every day for news on oil/gas exploration results but am invariably disappointed. Is there a Taranaki News? You appear to have moved to Perth, my own home town before I moved to Canberra. hope you are enjoying it, no better place IMHO. JBC
