Hi Cook
Your quote : "The combined effect of the benefits being delivered to New Zealand as a result of this transaction is substantial," Mr Coleman said.
How can it be such an enormous benefit to NZ?
There are a lot of Asians in NZ and there are a lot of imports into NZ from Asian countries.
But it appears that China is trying to "food proof" itself by having access to food production around the world to feed itself at a minimal figure.
So it is a mystery to me how the Chinese can give anything to NZ that they don't already have.
Maybe they are better at growing stuff than the Kiwis?
Maybe they have promised that they will export all the produce overseas and bring in big bucks?
I would like to know the answer.
