kingpins the produce grown by the Chinese in NZ I reckon will be exported out of that country at the lowest bulk quantity contract price that will give NZ the "least" amount of tax revenue to NZ that they can possibly get away with

Far better for NZ farmers to keep the farm and sell the produce and have the highest income going to NZ rather than the cheapest produce going to China

What has happened to good business sense in that country

And Australia for that matter

If you sell your land to a foreign government, you sell our country to that government

They are not private companies they are government owned and run organizations that have significantly more retribution power than a foreign privately owned corporation

When all the farms are in Chinese foreign government ownership the NZ government will have little or no more control over them and be of no more use as a government to the NZ people than a local council making minor decisions for the locals

Try taxing a foreign government LOL
