Further to my previous comment it is probably relevant to mention that there will also be some anticipation of the NZOG half yearly result due for release later this month.
The report on the first half year is due for release on Wednesday February 25.
An up to date comment on the likely figures for NZOG by a representative for NZ sharebroking firm Forsyth Barr indicated : (1) Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of NZ$62.6 million (2) A reported profit of NZ$78.2 million. (3) Foreign exchange gain of NZ$35 million (4) And therefore a normalised profit before foreign excahnge gain = NZ$43.2 million.
Perhaps there is some anticipation of some other announcements of interest to shareholders on Feb 25. which is helping to build the sp presently.
