Alternatively there are people who specialise in the repair and parts for white goods. Even though their business model has taken a big hit from todays China sourced throw away society they are still out there providing a valuable service for customers who like to keep their appliances past the warranty period.

Thanks. Changing the search term to "rubber seal + blender" instead of "o-ring" helped. Found it! Apparently it's a gasket.
