Well..., I wish it was up and running 2 years ago too but do you really reckon GBG would have been ready to ship in early 2007 and pumping out concentrate by around Dec that year?
The vast majority of negotiations and planning like rail, water, elec, POG, other Gov't approvals like transport etc. were either just coming to fruition or else nowhere near complete (or started) by that stage.
They are still working on mine designs, flow charts and plans for the concentrator! As much as EPA copped all the blame for the delay (and rightly so, up to a degree) I'm of the mind that the first half of this year was as close as they were going to get. They are not the fastest project developers in the country but have now promised to get on with it after the two approvals.
I suppose with Oakajee we really had and depended on 3 approvals to get to the planned output.
