    I agree. Perhaps people need to take a stress pill, take a big deep breath and relax a little. This is not some game of sport with the winner being declared after 100 minutes of football.

    Ultimately, this will be sorted out one way or the other and it should be resolved on the floor of the House.

    One thing I would ask is; is it possible with the numbers of seats, for there to still be an impasse with equal numbers? If this is numerically possible, then of course the incumbent will be called upon. Hence Gillard will retain power as PM and the leader of government until the parliament decides otherwise.

    I agree it would be a precarious situation for any government however I see no other way. It may all end with another election and I would suspect that neither Liberal nor Labor Parties would want that however it may be unavoidable at the end of this process.
