Oakeshott has an aboriginal wife and perhaps because of this is very much into raising up the disadvantaged.
To suggest he is a "natural" Liberal that deserted his constituency is ludicrous.
He is no "commie", but neither is he a developers's friend.
IMO he truely is an independent.
You might not like that but don't paint him as some sort of turncoat.
