They say the phone tapping was rejected mid last year but upon another application it was approved later in the year while Obama was still president. They also say some of the collected information was passed to the Whitehouse while Obama was president.
Fox News are suggesting that Obama's team was trying to dig up dirt on Trump using the Russian hacking as an excuse and to give Hillary an advantage. If so, it's a much bigger deal than the supposed Russian hacking.
Obama and Brennan are in the firing line with perhaps more to come.
