The "Politically correct" position is the attempt to dictate what another person is allowed to say. A person is perfectly entitled to use either phrase. The dictate that you must use one or the other, rather than use your preferred option as a matter of choice is the "politically correct" position. I'm not sure why the right are so open in their embrace of political correctness, when it's a form that they feign to despise.
