Just how many of the Federal Labor Members went skiing?
Another day ... another scandal.
----------------
FEDERAL Labor minister Tony Burke says he stayed at a Perisher Valley apartment owned by former NSW Labor factional boss Eddie Obeid.
Mr Obeid told the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) on Tuesday a former NSW Labor government minister had stayed rent free at a ski lodge owned by his family.
He said the same hospitality was extended to other political friends, including former NSW Premier Morris Iemma, current Labor leader John Robertson and federal minister Bill Shorten.
Mr Shorten denies using this accommodation.
"The minister has never been to Perisher and cannot ski," Mr Shorten's spokesperson said.
But Mr Burke said he stayed twice at an apartment owned by Mr Obeid.
"I declare two separate stays at this accommodation in the period 2004 to 2006," he said in a statement.
"On both occasions I stayed with my family.
"On neither occasion was any member of the Obeid family present."
Mr Burke also said the federal parliament resolution relating the declaration of MPs interests excludes that received in a personal capacity.
Mr Obeid, a former NSW Labor factional boss, has denied seeking or receiving any insider information from former NSW minister Ian Macdonald regarding valuable coal tenements in the Bylong Valley, west of Newcastle.
