Regardless of genetics, eating a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise prevents so many things (not just heart disease). Why wouldn't you do it? I'm a very big eater (of everything) but I eat pretty healthy and ride my pushy a lot. I'm guilty of drinking more beer than I probably should yet I have never cracked 70 kgs.
Of course, everything in moderation, including moderation...
and you can be unhealthy and skinny... the old man had his first heart attack at 41 and wasn't fat. Smoking and stress did the job.
Interesting idea on gut microbes though Volt. Sounds like it has some merit.
