You talk about confirmation bias then admit you have 300+ on an ignore list, most of whom I assume don't share your point of view.

For the record I have zero people on my ignore list and I plan on keeping it that way. I'm happy to hear all sides and after 15+ years on the internet using forums of all types, I think I've learnt along the way to apply critical thinking when it comes to weeding out what you should listen to compared to the stuff you can ignore. If any potential director candidate can't do the same then I seriously question if they are right for the job. Yes I'm in the camp of believing blaming HC is a cop out.
