Why would any company spend funds to manufacture a product, deliver the product to its warehouse and then leave it to take up valuable space in a limited warehouse were other items could be using that space. How would they explain the age of the stock on the stock turnover metric when reporting to management. The accounting cost for raising a provision stock destruction as it ages.
