Everyone has different circumstances, I know that the construction industry has big headwinds towards the end of the year, yet 2m tradies are working now and are lucky I suppose but I work for one of Australia's largest mass production residential builders and the work we are doing now is finishing what we started in January and February, but there's been a 60-80% decrease of new starts over March and especially April with May looking the slowest. On average I have started 6 new houses per month for the past 18 months yet we only did 2 in March and 1 in April and 0 so far in May... funnily enough as things slowly start to reopen and Jobkeeper ends, that's when the construction industry will be at its worst... I have no doubt in my mind that the end of this year is going to be tough for tradies. Make what you want of that.
