Pardon me??
I have heard multiple times around here from the believers, that "CC usage is in decline"
So I thought I would go and check for myself.
This is straight from the RBA website
https://www.rba.gov.au/payments-and-infrastructure/resources/payments-data.html
C1 Credit and Charge Cards – Seasonally Adjusted Series Number of purchases Value of purchases 1000's $1,000,000 Dec-2018 240723.2 27146.0 Dec-2019 252539.4 28313.8
The RBA data doesn't support your assertion.
Of course APT might cherry pick a nugget of something to support their own position, but some basic critical thinking lead me to look at the aggregate data from an unbiased source, the RBA.
Pls review the RBA data set for yourself.
It is absolutely impossible to support the assertion that "CC usage is in decline", from the latest RBA payments data.
Can we put this one to bed now?
