Afterpay customers end up paying less than $10 per annum or approximately 2 cappuccinos instead of zero, credit card customers pay 40 times that amount instead of zero.
Totally and absolutely false. Read the APT T&Cs before make such absurd claims.
APT actually charges $17 per item ($10 default plus $7 late fee) for missing one payment. That can easily amount to $500+ fees on a $2000 loan if the customer has bought many small items.
On a 10% interest rate CC the repayments on a$2000 debt will be a mere $97 if paid off at $200 per month.
