Decisions on some material cases have delayed solid earnings. OBL has also sacrificed short term earnings for long term results:
- Investing to be a global businesses, rather than concentrated with Aussie cases only.
- Expanding areas of coverage and capability (including by merger)
- Changing funding model from high risk shareholder funding of cases to becoming a specialist fund manager of cases with more predicable earnings.
OBL is a transformational growth company that despite setbacks in recent years is very well positioned for future outperformance.
