PN had a great record of losing money when working for Resource Capital Fund. The amount was staggering, stupid decisions, slow to act even when advised makes him totally incompetent in my book.

Agreed, but having fools at the helm doesn't help either.
I wonder why PN left, pushed, shoved or saw the writing on the wall?
I note he didn't buy a single OBM share. He obviously knew OBM was a dead duck or about to be.
