To rely on book value you are relying on estimates of ground resource combined with ofher stuff.
Even NPV isn’t accurate as anything + a few years blows out. You’ve seen what’s happened to building and infrastructure projects and mining projects budgets.
So keep it simple with a company that makes it simple for you. Everything else is more to compliment the value equation and test its robustness / sensitivity.
